GULF SHORES: March 23 - Thirty-one young ladies will compete Saturday for the honor of being crowned "Miss Gulf Shores High School."
The pageant will be held at 7 p.m. at the Erie Meyer Civic Center. The doors will be open to the public at
6:30 p.m. with a $5 per person admission charge. This is the third year the Gulf Shores Band has taken over the pageant and Band Director Tim Brannan is hoping to have a great turnout to support all of the young ladies in the pageant.
Only a senior is eligible for the title of "Miss Gulf Shores High School," however every participant is eligible to be selected as a "Class Beauty" winner as well as "Miss Congeniality" and "Miss Photogenic."
The daylong event begins early Saturday morning with an interview process that each girl will go through with a panel of judges. The judges are selected from around the southeast and are not in any way affiliated with the high school.
